This role supervises a team of pharmacy technicians responsible for accurately entering prescriptions, maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and supporting timely medication fulfillment for our patients.\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.\nResponsibilities\nLeads and guides orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Data Entry Technicians, with support from Lead Data Entry Technicians. \nOversees data entry workflow and scheduling, with support from Lead Data Entry Technicians. \nProvides adequate structure, direction, and feedback to data entry staff, in conjunction with pharmacy leadership. \nUnderstands all dispensing systems used in the pharmacy and their implications for data entry. \nMay produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up. \nProcesses prescriptions by triaging and inputting into computer systems. \nMaintains current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes. \nEnsure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. \nEnsures productivity and accuracy standards are adhered to. \nPerforms other tasks as assigned\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nExperience in pharmacy data entry and adjudication; experience in LTC setting; prior leadership experience. \nKnowledge of Medicaid claims regulations and processes. \nBasic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer; workflow management skills; scheduling skills; performance management. \nLicenses/Certifications: As required by state regulations and business needs. \nDetail oriented; goal oriented, team player, customer service, written and oral communication; leadership.\nAbout our Line of Business\nPharmacy Alternatives®, an affiliate of PharMerica, is a specialized pharmacy provider focused on serving individuals with cognitive or intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
