Escalates to a clinician as needed\nMaintains thorough and appropriate documentation in the customer/patient record of all clinical activities and communication with patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals\nCoordinates and schedules the preparation of IV therapies and home medical equipment orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist\nHelps coordinate patient care activities with Pharmacists, Nurses, other Technicians and Patient Care Coordinators\nPrepares labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records\nGenerates delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist. Picks and pulls supplies and home medical equipment\nObtains supply inventories from patients/clients and communicates information obtained to the Pharmacist as required and documents all communication in patient progress notes on the pharmacy computer system\nParticipates in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities\nAdheres to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy and home medical equipment\nOther duties as assigned\nSupervisory Responsibility: No\nQualifications\nSuccessful completion of an approved/accredited pharmacy technician training program; IV certification preferred\nRegistered Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice per state regulations\nNational Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by the state board of pharmacy in state of practice\nOne to three (1-3) years of related pharmacy experience in a home care setting, retail, or pharmacy setting \nGeneral knowledge of drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use and aseptic techniques\nFlexible schedule with the ability to work on-call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis\nEffective mathematical and communication skills required \nBasic pharmacy knowledge of reading and interpreting prescriptions \nAbility to work independently, accurately, and efficiently \n**To perform this role will require constant sitting and typing on a keyboard with fingers, and occasional standing, and walking.
