If your passion is service excellence and top-quality care come join our team and apply today!\nResponsibilities\nLeads and guides orientation, training, competency assessment, and evaluation of Pharmacy Technicians, with support from Lead Pharmacy Technicians\nOversees pharmacy technician workflow and scheduling, with support from Lead Pharmacy Technicians\nProvides adequate structure, direction, and feedback to pharmacy technician staff, in conjunction with pharmacy leadership\nFills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy\nPrepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments, which may include non-sterile compounding\nMay perform at least one of the following:Works in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room;\nWorks with automated machines to prepack drugs;\nManages inventory functions such as monitoring pharmaceutical levels and identify expired medications, managing to the pharmacy standard for Days on Hand;\nInputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system to produce labels (data entry);\nMixes/packages IV medications sanitizes IV room, equipment and hood\n\nServices facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow)\nMaintain equipment by ordering, stocking, and organizing supplies and delivery order\nEnsure technician adherence to local, state, and federal regulations\nEnsures productivity and accuracy standards are adhered to\nPerforms other tasks as assigned\nQualifications\nEducation/Learning Experience:\nRequired: High school diploma or equivalent\nWork Experience:\nExperience in an LTC pharmacy setting; leadership experience\nSkills/Knowledge:\nBasic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and metric system; ability to operate a computer; workflow management skills; scheduling skills; performance management\nLicenses/Certifications:\nAs required by state regulations and business needs\nAbout our Line of Business\nPharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, delivers personalized pharmacy care through dedicated local teams, serving health care providers such as skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, and hospitals.
