We are currently seeking a highly motivatedField Commissioning Lead to join our field services team on a full-time basis. If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.
This is a field-based, shift position requiring extended periods of travel and work away from home.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will lead the testing and commissioning of MV/HV systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

What You'll Do
- Lead a team in the testing and commissioning of power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry.
- Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot / resolve technical issues.
- Manage direct reports and delegate tasks as needed.
- Report preparation and submission.
- Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards.
- Initiate and/or respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details and confirm resolutions.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, or Power Systems Electrician Journeyman certification
- 4+ years of commissioning leadership experience within utility or MV/HV environments
- Hands-on relay testing and commissioning experience
- Experience working with substations, protection & control systems, and utility infrastructure
- Experience with Omicron testing equipment is considered a strong asset
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required
