Built on technical excellence, collaboration, and a commitment to safety and quality, we take on complex challenges together. #phasorinclusive\nThe Opportunity\nWe're looking for an experienced Distribution Engineer to join our engineering team.\nIn this role, you will support the design of overhead and underground power distribution systems, contributing to projects from concept development through detailed engineering, construction support, and project delivery.\nIf you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering reliable power distribution solutions, this role offers meaningful technical work, diverse project exposure, and opportunities for long-term professional growth.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign overhead and underground power distribution systems ranging from 4 kV to 500 kV for utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects \nPrepare engineering scopes, cost estimates, calculations, and detailed design packages in accordance with applicable utility and industry standards \nDevelop distribution line designs using PLS-CADD; experience with QuickPole or SpidaCalc is considered an asset \nCoordinate with clients, utilities, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery \nCollect, interpret, and organize engineering and vendor data while developing bills of materials \nCoordinate with other business units to support project requirements, schedules, and design integration \nAssist in maintaining engineering standards, procedures, and best practices \nSupport permitting activities and coordinate with regulatory authorities as required \nResolve technical challenges while working closely with senior engineers and project teams \nContribute to proposals, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables \nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering \n7+ years of experience in electrical distribution engineering, with a strong focus on complex or industrial distribution system design \nProficiency with PLS-CADD; experience with QuickPole or SpidaCalc is considered an asset \nWorking knowledge of utility distribution standards, including FortisBC, FortisAlberta, ATCO, Hydro One, or similar utility requirements \nExperience with overhead distribution design and aerial communications systems using CSA 22.3 No. 1-20 and AEUC standards \nUnderstanding of permitting processes for utility infrastructure projects is considered an asset \nExperience working with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, or telecommunications projects \nFamiliarity with power system operations, installation practices, and utility standards is considered an asset \nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail \nProficiency with Microsoft Office\nBenefits\nWhy Phasor Engineering\nAt Phasor Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to be part of some of North America's most complex utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
