Built on technical excellence, collaboration, and a commitment to safety and quality, we take on complex challenges together.\nThe Opportunity\nWe're looking for an experienced Senior Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team as we support a growing portfolio of transmission projects across North America, including major ECI and EPC projects.\nIn this role, you will lead the design and engineering execution of overhead and underground transmission projects, supporting everything from concept development through detailed engineering, construction support, and project delivery.\nIf you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to major transmission projects across North America, this role offers meaningful technical work, leadership opportunities, and long-term professional growth. #phasorinclusive\nWhat You'll Do\nLead the design and engineering execution of overhead and underground transmission line projects from concept through construction support \nPerform feasibility studies, project scope development, capital cost estimates, conceptual and detailed engineering designs, analyses, and calculations for transmission projects \nInterpret client requirements, applicable codes, and engineering standards while developing design criteria, scopes of work, material specifications, and construction specifications \nDevelop and review PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE models that accurately represent project requirements \nManage the engineering component of projects, including engineering scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while reporting project progress to senior management \nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution \nPrepare proposals, cost estimates, and budgets for transmission line projects \nConduct site investigations and field reviews as required \nReview and seal engineering deliverables supporting the successful energization of overhead and underground transmission projects \nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering \nRegistered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) \n8+ years of relevant transmission line engineering experience, ideally within Canada \nExperience designing overhead and underground transmission systems \nStrong knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including CEC, CSA, IEEE, IEC, CIGRE, ANSI, and NEMA \nProficiency with the PLS software suite, including PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE \nExperience leading engineering projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams \nStrong communication, leadership, and project management skills \nExperience performing electrical studies such as EMF, corona losses, grounding design, and lightning performance is considered an asset \nExperience with construction and construction support is considered an asset \nValid Class 5 driver's licence \nExpected annual salary: $130,000-$165,000 (actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and current market conditions.)\nBenefits\nWhy Phasor Engineering\nAt Phasor Engineering, you'll have the opportunity to be part of some of North America's most complex utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.
