Demonstrates behavior which exemplifies professional conduct and teamwork.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPerforms department equipment processing and stock disbursement by maintaining department equipment in operating order and checks on and stocks medical supplies, medical gases, and office supplies in appropriate locations.\nPerforms equipment disinfection as directed by policy.\nPerforms equipment function checks after equipment is cleaned and set up, including proper documentation of the function checks.\nParticipates with the respiratory therapist in oxygen rounds and maintaining medical gas tanks throughout hospital.\nConducts EKG, Holter Monitor, and Event Monitor testing satisfactorily according to policy and procedure guidelines.\nAdministers respiratory therapies with a valid Missouri student permit under the direct supervision of a staff therapist.\nEducation\nHigh School graduate or equivalent required and enrollment in a Respiratory program.\n Work Experience\nExperience in Respiratory Therapy or a related healthcare field preferred but not required.\n Certification/License\nRequired to have and maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE) preferred.\nRequired to have an Educational Permit issued by the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care.\nre.\nMental/Physical Requirements\nConsiderable mental concentration required for long periods of time.
