Ask us how we do it at the Y- it's awesome!\n\nWhat is needed for this job as our Kid Zone Team Member:\nSome college or equivalent\n3+ years Specialized sport experience\nAbility to work with and be sensitive to others while always portraying a positive style of coaching\nAbility to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention\nAbility to physically assist (spot) the program participant through skills with a clear understanding of developing the athlete\n\nThe responsibilities we will trust you with:\nConduct YMCA Sports Program instruction in accordance with YMCA program standards.\nEnsure adherence to YMCA progressive or competitive standards and quality.\nProvide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn the YMCA sports curriculum.\nEncourage and support staff and students to provide an enjoyable YMCA.\nReinforce the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through example and recognition of participant displays of character.\nArrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled class session to be prepared with the equipment set up and ready to begin at the scheduled start time.
