Title\nAdvanced Mechanical EngineerJob Description\nJob Overview:\nIn this role, you have the opportunity to be responsible for the design and lifecycle management of CT Cooling Units (e.g., CU4500 / CU6200 / Compact CU), acting as a key technical owner to drive design decisions, failure analysis, and cross-functional integration to ensure product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.\nYour role:\nCooling Unit Design & Development\nDesign and develop Cooling Unit mechanical systems (pumps, piping, heat exchangers, structural components)\nLead design trade-offs considering performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliability\nDeliver complete design packages (3D/2D drawings, BOM, technical specifications, interface definitions)\nFailure Analysis & Issue Closure\nLead root cause analysis (RCA) for field and internal failures (e.g., pump issues, flow performance, leakage, control-related issues)\nPerform data-driven failure analysis and define clear technical conclusions\nDrive CAPA actions including design improvements, supplier corrections, and validation activities\nSupport quality processes (e.g., PR investigations and escalations)\nSystem Integration & Interface Management\nOwn the integration of Cooling Unit within CT systems (Generator / Tube / Gantry interfaces)\nDefine and manage key system interface parameters (flow rate, pressure, thermal load, etc.)\nSupport system-level validation and issue troubleshooting\nSupplier & Manufacturing Support\nProvide technical interface to key suppliers (e.g., pumps, thermal components)\nSupport supplier issue resolution and engineering change reviews\nSupport NPI and mass production activities, including addressing manufacturing deviations and failure trends\nVerification & Validation\nDefine verification strategies for Cooling Unit (performance, durability, boundary conditions)\nAnalyze test data and drive design optimization\nEnsure proper closure of DV/PV activities\nCross-Functional & Global Collaboration\nCollaborate with global teams (e.g., Hamburg, MR, Generator teams) on design alignment and IP considerations\nSupport field escalations and FSE feedback loops\nParticipate in technical reviews (Design Reviews, CAPA reviews)\nExpected Deliverables\nCooling Unit design package (CAD models, drawings, BOM, specifications)\nFailure analysis reports with RCA and supporting data\nCAPA implementation and tracking documentation\nVerification plans and test reports\nSystem interface definition documentation\nYou're the right fit if:\nTechnical Skills\nStrong mechanical / thermal / fluid system design capability\nCFD tools: ANSYS Fluent\nSolid understanding of liquid cooling systems (pump, heat exchanger, flow control)\nProven failure analysis capability (data-driven RCA)\nBasic simulation capability (CFD / thermal analysis is a plus)\nExperience\nTypically, 5-8 years of relevant engineering experience\nExperience in product development and field issue resolution (beyond pure design)\nCross-functional Capability\nAbility to independently drive complex issue closure across design, quality, and suppliers\nClear technical communication, including management-level reporting\nStrong ownership mindset with end-to-end accountability\nRole Expectations\nActs as subsystem owner
