This includes but is not limited to:\nLead 3D CAD design, tolerance analysis, and detailed drawings\nDesign plastic and metal parts including housings, internal frames, seals, and mechanisms etc.\nDrive DFM/DFA with suppliers and manufacturing partners\nSupport thermal, vibration, drop, and environmental robustness requirements\nCollaborate with electronics, firmware, industrial design, and quality teams\nLead mechanical verification testing and failure analysis, drive optimization with suppliers.\nSupport tooling development, trial builds, and mass production ramp-up\nResponsible for delivering input in the planning process to the project manager. Draws up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.\nContribute to the estimation of the required development effort and run-time resources\n You're the right fit if:\nBachelor/Master degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Manufacturing engineering\n3-5 years of relevant working experience, owning/leading mechanical development in projects from idea through implementation\nDemonstrated design experience in electro-mechanical product development and material selection for mass manufacturing, in particular injection, molded parts, sheet metal parts and design for assembly\nDemonstrated technical leadership skills in a multi-discipline engineering project environment, including working with development suppliers.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work with people globally and all levels of the organization\nDemonstrated experience in technical problem solving\nDemonstrated good technical documentation skills\nExperience with finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses\nExperience with design of experiments\nExperience with requirements flow down from customer level to components level\nExperience with rapid prototyping method\nHands-on knowledge in Six Sigma DFSS, certification is preferred\nPreferably experience within a regulated industry (medical devices highly desirable, along with knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, FDA Quality System Regulations, and ISO 13485).\nPractical CAD experience, Creo 8.0 or above preferred.\nFluent in English (both writing and verbal)\nLogical thinking and demonstrated competencies on handling multiple tasks.\nThe desire to work on projects that change people’s lives\nCritical eye to detail\nCurious and inventive attitude About Philips Are you ready to do the work of your life to help the lives of others?
