You will work across global and local R&D teams to translate system-level requirements into subsystem and component requirements, ensuring product quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and successful product delivery.\nYou will serve as a critical technical interface between Global System Engineering, System Architects, and component development teams, contributing to the development of next-generation MR systems.\nKey Responsibilities\nSystem Engineering & Architecture\nAnalyze, define, and manage system and subsystem requirements.\n\nDrive requirement decomposition from system level to subsystem and component level.\n\nSupport system architecture design and overall system integration activities.\n\nEnsure component designs comply with system requirements and product objectives.\n\nEvaluate system performance and reliability through data analysis and engineering methodologies.\n\nTechnical Leadership\nLead technical reviews, design reviews, and feasibility studies.\n\nProvide technical guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.\n\nMake design recommendations that improve product reliability, performance, and user experience.\n\nSupport concept exploration, system definition, design verification, issue investigation, and continuous improvement activities.\n\nRisk & Quality Management\nLead FMEA and risk management activities.\n\nDrive defect management and root cause analysis.\n\nInvestigate technical issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.\n\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\nCollaborate closely with Global System Engineering teams, System Architects, PMO, subsystem teams, and component development teams.\n\nInfluence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple functions and locations.\n\nFacilitate effective communication and decision making throughout development programs.\n\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's or Master's degree in:\nElectrical Engineering\n\nElectronic Engineering\n\nMechanical Engineering\n\nComputer Science\n\nBiomedical Engineering\n\nOr related engineering disciplines.\n\nExperience\nMinimum 5 years of experience in MR Systems Engineering or related medical imaging product development.\n\nSolid experience in system design, system integration, and product development.\n\nHands-on experience in risk management, technical problem solving, and reliability engineering.\n\nExperience working in a global matrix organization is highly desirable.\n\nRequired Skills\nSystems Engineering Methodology\n\nSystem Design & Integration\n\nRequirements Engineering\n\nFMEA & Risk Management\n\nRoot Cause Analysis\n\nTechnical Leadership\n\nStakeholder Management\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\n\nStrong Analytical & Problem-solving Skills\n\nAbility to Influence and Drive Decisions Across Teams\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong understanding of MR product architecture and technologies.\n\nExperience conducting feasibility studies and system-level trade-off analysis.\n\nDFSS (Design for Six Sigma) certification.\n\nINCOSE CSEP certification or equivalent Systems Engineering qualification.\n\nKnowledge of medical device regulations and quality processes.\n\nSuccess Profile\nThe ideal candidate demonstrates:\nDeep understanding of MR systems and system design methodology.\n\nStrong capability in driving technical issues to resolution.\n\nExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.\n\nAbility to balance technical depth with system-level thinking.\n\nPassion for product quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.\n\nAbout Philips\nAre you ready to do the work of your life to help the lives of others?
