The role stays abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and CT imaging technologies, collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate clinical and product requirements into actionable algorithmic solutions, and supports the full lifecycle of medical imaging algorithms to ensure reliable deployment and impactful visualization outcomes.\nYour role:\nDesign and implement advanced algorithms for medical image processing, including segmentation, detection, registration, and enhancement\nDevelop and optimize 2D/3D visualization techniques such as volume rendering, surface rendering, and multi-planar reconstruction (MPR)\nBuild AI/ML models (e.g., deep learning, computer vision) for medical imaging applications, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and generalization\nOptimize algorithm performance for real-time or near-real-time processing, including GPU acceleration and parallel computing\nIntegrate algorithms into production systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability\nTroubleshoot algorithmic issues, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks\nValidate algorithms using clinical datasets and collaborate on evaluation metrics and benchmarking\nDocument technical designs, methodologies, and workflows for knowledge sharing and reproducibility\nStay current with advancements in AI, computer vision, computer graphics, and medical imaging technologies\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineers, product managers, clinicians, and researchers) to translate clinical and product requirements into technical solutions\nSupport the full lifecycle of algorithm development, from research and prototyping to deployment and continuous improvement\n You're the right fit if:\nMaster’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Graphics, Applied Mathematics, or related field\n10+ years of experience in algorithm development, with a focus on image processing, computer vision, or medical imaging\nStrong programming skills in C++ and/or Python\nSolid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and numerical methods\nHands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)\nExperience with medical imaging data formats and toolkits (e.g., DICOM, ITK, VTK)\nFamiliarity with 2D/3D visualization techniques and graphics pipelines\nHands-on experience in medical image visualization algorithms (e.g., volume rendering, MPR, 3D reconstruction, or interactive visualization systems)\nExperience with performance optimization (e.g., CUDA, OpenCL, multithreading)\nAbout Philips\nWe are a health technology company.
