You'll champion user-centered design, ensuring our solutions are safe, effective, and intuitive while advocating for the needs of patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals across a global portfolio of innovative products and services.\nYour role:\nDefining usability activities across all development phases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including UX designers, clinical specialists, product managers, researchers, and system engineers.\nConducting user research, task analysis, and developing use scenarios.\nProviding usability input to the design of user-centered and safe-to-use solutions.\nLeading usability FMEA activities.\nPlanning, executing, and reporting usability evaluations and ensuring critical findings are addressed.\nConducting summative evaluations and creating the usability engineering file in compliance with FDA guidance and IEC 62366-1.\nAnalyzing post-market and telemetry data to identify usability issues.\nYou're the right fit if:\nYou’ve acquired 2+ years of experience (4+ preferred) in usability engineering for complex systems, preferably within the medical device industry, along with experience across the product lifecycle, including user needs, task analysis, validation, and post-market follow-up.\nYour skills include:Knowledge of cognitive and physical ergonomics.\nFamiliarity with quality management systems and risk management principles, and the ability to produce high-quality formal documentation.\nAn understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device usability, including FDA guidance and IEC 62366-1 (highly preferred).\n\nYou have a bachelor's or master's degree in human factors engineering, human-computer interaction (HCI), cognitive science, product or interaction design or similar discipline.\nYou must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. \nYou’re an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.\nHow we work together\nWe believe that we are better together than apart.
