Our AGM roles are fantastic opportunities for continued growth in retail leadership, home office, and/or roasting plant positions.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nAssistant General Managers are members of the store’s leadership team and use independent judgment to oversee key aspects of Philz company initiatives, financial results, store operations, and team member development, including areas such as: \nOversee key components of store operations, including staffing levels, food costs, customer experience, and team performance\nManage food and operations safety standards, run monthly audits, and ensure prompt follow-up\nEnsure a store experience that is in line with Philz's core values and standards\nRespond to customer feedback across all channels and take action to improve the store experience\nCoach and evaluate team members, providing feedback and making decisions that support their growth\nLead the rollout of new initiatives and ensure your team is trained and ready\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED\nWe're looking for people who understand what it means to Better People’s Day and who believe in our culture as much as we do. We make sure that every Philz is an inclusive, fun, creative, and vibrant place; a spot where you can be yourself.\n2-3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume food & beverage environment\n1-2 years of experience in people programs such as hiring, training, and coaching team members\nPrevious experience in store-level rollouts of promotions and programs\nExperience managing scheduling, inventory, payroll, and compliance\nStrong experience supervising food safety and other risk management programs\nFamiliarity with financial controls, including labor and food cost management\nProficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Exposure to scheduling and/or inventory systems a plus\nSchedule flexibility and willing and able to work a variety of days and shifts\nRequired: To ensure the well-being of our team members and community, you will need to secure a Food Manager certification OR complete the Philz Coffee Food Manager certification within the first 30 days of employment.\nESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nVisual acuity.\nBending, Reaching, Pulling, Pushing, Extending arms/hands for the majority of shift.\nRemaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.\nMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.\nExerting up to 20-40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. \nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nA reasonable estimate of the starting base hourly rate for this role is $29.00 - $33.00.\nThis role is eligible for benefits the first day of the month after hire.
