Read More\nJOB PURPOSE\nPHINIA is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Quality Administrator at our Aftermarket Remanufacturing Plant in Troy, MI.This person will be responsible for providing support for our warrant management systems, including evaluation of product field performance, customer warranty debits, product field/warranty cost improvement and customer warranty interface. This person will also coordinate with other departments on field issue resolution and improvement and support the tracking of any quality issues.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nWarranty & Field Performance Management\nManage and monitor product field performance and warranty-related issues.\nEvaluate customer warranty debits and determine approval or dispute.\nNegotiate warranty debits and technical justifications with customers.\nReview new or updated customer warranty agreements and escalate unacceptable contractual terms.\nAssist multiple high-profile, high-cost warranty and field issues simultaneously.\nDrive rapid containment and corrective actions to minimize financial and customer impact.\nWarranty Operations & Reporting\nLog new warranty claims and manage the end-to-end return process.\nManage warranty returns, including tracking, disposition, and documentation.\nRun validation or diagnostic tests on returned components in conjunction with Quality Technicians.\nLog and document test results accurately in warranty systems/databases.\nCoordinate warranty activities for products produced by third-party processors.\nMaintain accurate warranty data, documentation, and reporting to support internal and customer requirements.\nAnalysis & Continuous Improvement\nPerform logical, data-driven analysis of warranty and field failures.\nIdentify trends, systemic issues, and improvement opportunities in warranty performance.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives for warranty systems and field performance.\nProvide failure prevention feedback to Product & Manufacturing Engineering.\nCross- Functional Coordination\nCoordinate with Manufacturing Plants, Process Engineering, and Product Engineering to ensure timely root cause analysis and corrective actions for field issues.\nSupport structured problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, A3, root cause analysis), as required.\nFollow up on corrective, preventive, and improvement actions to ensure effectiveness and closure.\nSupport the return and handling of suspect or defective material to suppliers.\nLayered Process Audits (LPA)\nCoordinate Layered Process Audits, including:Establishing and communicating audit schedules\nMaintaining audit records and results\nTracking closure of non-conformities\nIdentifying recurring, chronic, or systemic issues\nLeading the LPA Core Team\nPreparing, reporting, and presenting LPA status, results, and open actions\n\nGeneral Quality Support\nSupport Quality Technician activities, as required.\nSupport 5S standards within Quality Department areas and other assigned areas.\nParticipate in special projects or additional tasks, as assigned.\nWhat we’re looking for\n5+ years’ manufacturing experience; 3+ years in Quality/Warranty (preferred)\nExperience with warranty returns and field failure analysis\nHands-on skills in component teardown, inspection, and testing (injectors preferred)\nAbility to analyze returned parts and document findings\nFamiliar with Quality Core Tools and ISO 9001\nStrong problem-solving skills (8D, A3, root cause)\nProficient in MS Office, SAP, and quality systems\nStrong communication, teamwork, and ownership mindset\nReliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nPHINIA is an equal employment opportunity employer such that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.\nVISA SPONSORSHIP\nFor this role, applicants must be currently authorized to work on a full-time basis in the country where the position is based.
