Full stack Developer

Position Summary:  

The Developer designs, develops, tests, and deploys scalable web applications and enterprise solutions. You will build and maintain applications using Python, React.js, Java/Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, and AWS services while collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with modern software development practices, cloud technologies, AI-assisted development tools, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

- 5+ years of professional software development experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience using Python.

- 5+ years of hands-on frontend development experience using React.js.

- Hands-on experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Experience designing and developing microservices-based architectures.

- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.

- Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.

- Familiarity with AWS services including S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS, and RDS.

- Experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.

- Experience using JIRA for project and task management.

- Proficiency in creating accurate estimates for assigned tasks and work efforts.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, database design, and data modeling.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with non-technical client stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, review, validation, and development workflow optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Python Certification(s).

- AWS Certification(s).

- Java Certification(s).

- Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.

- Experience working in a client-facing consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  - Design, develop, and implement Python-based enterprise solutions that meet client requirements.

- Build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications and services.

- Collaborate as a member of a cross-functional Agile team to deliver software solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Support quality development practices, including test-driven development and automated testing.

- Apply Agile development principles and DevSecOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Participate in and contribute to code reviews to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.

- Evaluate technical requirements and contribute to user story creation, estimation, and implementation planning.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and application architecture artifacts.

- Develop applications using object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, microservices, databases, and modern web technologies.

- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.

- Develop and maintain cloud-based applications and services utilizing AWS technologies.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application, integration, and performance issues.

- Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to generate, review, validate, and optimize code and development workflows.

- Provide accurate estimates for assigned tasks and manage deliverables within project timelines.

Non-Technical Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (1-2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.

- Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance

Salary Description

$120,000-$140,000 (based on pertinent experience)
