This position will assist the Controller in the preparation and coordination of formal budget and forecasting programs. This position will work with the Controller in the planning of the annual audit and all schedules required for completion. This position will work directly with other staff in the areas of billing, cash management, and other projects that are needed in the Finance department.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nReview Purchase Request forms and monitor for coding accuracy and Budget Allocation.\nPrepare/Review Invoices for fee-for-service and Cost Reimbursement Billing.\nPrepare journal entries for Cash Receipts, Prepaids, Accrued Expenses, Depreciation, and adjusting entries.\nPerform Periodic Internal Audits or desk reviews at programs.\nPrepare/Review/Reconcile Cost Reimbursement Report and submit to Funders.\nMonitor Due to/From Account Balances to ensure accurate contract billing.\nPrepare budget projections/forecasts for Programs and/or Subsidiaries.\nFamiliarity with and ability to process transactions through cost allocation systems.\nPrepare Bank Reconciliations for Subsidiary entities.\nMaintain follow-up on due dates for general ledger submission, billing, and reports that must be prepared within the area of responsibility.\nPerform account reconciliation and complete audit schedules assigned.\nPrepare/maintain Accounts Receivable Aging, monitor receivables, and pursue cash collections.\nAssist in the preparation of request for proposal budgets.\nTrack and maintain high schedules that demonstrate completion of activities and related schedule timelines\nSupervise staff such as accounting clerk, staff accountant, and/or senior accountant level positions\nSKILLS:\nStrong written and verbal skills are required. \nExcellent knowledge of PC and related accounting applications, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics. \nQUALIFICATIONS:\n5 plus years of related work experience. \nMust possess technical and professional accounting skills and the ability to develop financial and other operational systems. \nMust have excellent knowledge of PC and related accounting applications, preferably in Microsoft Dynamics. \nStrong communication (written and verbal) skills are required.\nMust have the ability to successfully communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders such as internal program and finance supervisors, external auditors, community providers, and funders. \nStrong organizational skills and the ability to adhere to schedules, timelines, and deadlines are imperative.\nMust possess analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, both internal and external. \nPrevious supervisory experience preferred.\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor's Degree in accounting\nPHMC is an Equal
