Works directly with Accounts Payable and the Procurement team to resolve pricing, quantity and other discrepancies which impede the ability to pay invoices in a timely manner. Reviews and provides direction of work assignments for buyers/expediters, sets priorities, and prepares work schedules. Evaluates performance of procurement staff members, ensures appropriate training and development of staff according to their training needs. Develops performance standards and ways to improve the quality of work; makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinates. Oversees Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and other relationships for all purchasing agreements.
