Working closely with stakeholders, Business Analysts and delivery teams, you will help translate business needs into actionable work that delivers measurable value.\nYou will play an important role in shaping priorities, supporting delivery and continuously improving how products and teams operate.\nWhat will you be doing?\nBacklog Management & Prioritisation\nOwn and manage the product backlog for your product or workstream.\nPrioritise work based on business value, urgency and dependencies.\nEnsure backlog items are clearly defined, refined and ready for delivery.\nReview and adjust priorities as requirements and business needs evolve.\nMaintain alignment between delivery priorities and the wider product roadmap.\nDelivery Support\nWork closely with Developers, Testers, Business Analysts and Delivery Managers to support successful delivery.\nProvide clarity on priorities, scope and expected outcomes.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.\nSupport decision-making and help remove blockers impacting delivery.\nClarify requirements and success criteria throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nRequirements & Product Definition\nCollaborate with stakeholders and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are understood.\nProvide business context and prioritisation guidance for delivery teams.\nSupport the refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria.\nContribute to requirement definition where appropriate.\nParticipate in discovery activities and help translate opportunities into prioritised backlog items.\nStakeholder Engagement\nAct as a key point of contact between stakeholders and delivery teams.\nCommunicate priorities, progress and changes clearly.\nGather stakeholder feedback and incorporate it into backlog planning.\nBalance competing priorities and support effective decision-making.\nEnsure transparency around priorities and delivery decisions.\nEscalate strategic conflicts or risks where required.\nProduct Value & Continuous Improvement\nSupport the tracking of outputs, outcomes and product performance.\nGather user and stakeholder feedback to inform future improvements.\nContribute to continuous improvement across delivery processes and ways of working.\nPromote a focus on delivering value rather than simply delivering outputs.\nWhat are we looking for?\nExperience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar delivery-focused role.\nExperience working within Agile environments.\nStrong organisational and prioritisation skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to balance customer needs, business goals and delivery constraints.\nComfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.\nCollaborative approach with a focus on transparency and teamwork.\nAbility to support delivery in Agile, Scrum, Kanban or hybrid environments.\nExperience & Qualifications\nExperience managing backlogs and supporting delivery teams.\nExperience gathering, refining and prioritising requirements.\nExperience working across multiple teams or workstreams desirable.\nFamiliarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira or similar platforms.\nUnderstanding of backlog management and prioritisation techniques.\nDesirable Qualifications:\nProduct Owner certification such as PSPO, CSPO or equivalent.\nPractical stuff\nWhere is the role based?\nPrimary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42).\nWhat about hybrid/remote working?\nHybrid working is supported, with flexibility depending on business requirements.\nHow many interviews?\nFollowing a screen with the Recruitment Team, you can expect a two-stage interview process - one online and one in-person.\nImportantBPSS Check\nAs part of our recruitment process and due to the nature of the work we do, all employees are required to undertake a BPSS check.
