We are seeking dynamic candidates who enjoy a fast-paced and team oriented work environment supported by a company with the motto \"Customers first, employees always!\"\n Title: Production Supervisor\nReports to: Plant Manager\nJob Purpose: Ultimately responsible for the day-to-day departmental operations.\nKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities:\nLead set up and changeover activity on machinery\nSupport and monitor production activity to ensure operators are following standard work instructions and are meeting quality specifications\nAudit compliance with standard work instructions and process control plans to ensure production of good parts.\nMaintain and audit production information within the company's ERP system\nMaintain production related documents and logs to ensure availability and accuracy.\nMonitor production activity to ensure it is aligned with customer demand and corporate inventory goals.\nLead department scheduling efforts\nReview un-planned scrap with employees to identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures.\nOversee the professional development and periodic evaluation of direct reports.\nIdentify employee development opportunities and enlist appropriate corporate personnel to assist in construction and implementation of training programs that are comprehensive and regularly reinforced.\nPeriodically evaluate staffing levels to ensure human resources are adequate and properly positioned to support current and future production requirements.\nChampion the area’s safety program and coordinate statutory training and compliance.\nPromote Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques in all manufacturing and administrative processes.\nAssist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and continually monitor their effectiveness.\nActively solicit suggestions and exploit the experience of employees to develop and implement product and process improvements.\nEnsure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care\nEnsure operational activities and management of equipment and materials are executed in a manner consistent with good stewardship\nExecute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures\nPerform other duties as required or assigned\n High school diploma, GED or equivalent professional experience\n3 years supervisory experience preferred\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment required (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred)\nPrevious experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges,etc) required\nMechanical aptitude and previous experience troubleshooting machinery required\nAbility to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time\nAbility to use material handling equipment, including forklifts\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nExperience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) required\nAbility to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\n Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
