We are seeking dynamic candidates who enjoy a fast-paced and team oriented work environment supported by a company with the motto \"Customers first, employees always!\"\n 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30PM - 11:00PM\nTitle: Quality Technician\nReports to: VP of Quality and Safety\nJob Purpose: Assures consistent quality for our customers through the validation of manufacturing processes and standards as well as continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities:\nMANUFACTURING SUPPORT\nParticipate in project status meetings and provide quality-related updates\nParticipate in up-front product, tooling and process development- focusing on quality requirements\nUpdate, and maintain quality documents\nMaintain quality metric/performance data\nDIMENSIONAL CONTROL AND MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS\nParticipate in quality control fixture/gage design, qualification and maintenance\nMaintain measurement equipment, certifications, and calibrations\nSupport ISO compliance and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)\nPART AND COMPONENT INSPECTIONS\nPerform incoming and in-process inspections of internal and external parts and/or components\nParticipate in the processing of non-conforming material/product\nMaintain Quality related part and process documentation\nAs required, validate initial production samples and prepare data for customer submission\nMonitor/assess part/process capability.\nCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES\nReact to customer complaints and ensure that corrective actions are effective and properly executed\nParticipate in initiatives such as Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), SD, A3 activities to sustain continuous improvement throughout the organization\nFLOOR AUDITS AND WASTE WALKS\nAudit process documentation and identify performance gaps\nDocument audit activities ensuring compliance with QMS requirements\nAudit manufacturing processes and standards for:Safety\nProcess control\nWaste\nPart quality\n\n High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience\nPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nThorough knowledge of blueprint reading and ability to use measuring tools and test equipment\nUnderstanding and interpretation of Quality tools including but not limited to SPC, Gage R & R, and metrology tools\nKnowledge of lean problem-solving tools and techniques such as A3, 8D, and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA)\nThorough knowledge of what makes up a working quality management system.
