The successful candidate translates business requirements and user journeys into secure, responsive, reusable, and maintainable portal solutions.\nKey responsibilities\nPortal & UX design\nTranslate business requirements and user journeys into portal concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interface designs.\n\nDesign intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for internal and external users.\n\nDefine and maintain reusable UI patterns, components, navigation structures, and design standards.\n\nEnsure a consistent user experience across portal applications and integrated SAP processes.\n\nWork closely with business analysts, process owners, architects, and end users to validate designs.\n\nAngular development\nDesign and develop modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.\n\nDevelop reusable Angular components, modules, services, forms, and shared libraries.\n\nAnalyse and resolve application defects and performance issues\n\nSAP integration\nIntegrate portal applications with SAP and other enterprise backend systems.\n\nConsume REST APIs and SAP services, including OData-based services where applicable.\n\nWork with SAP technical teams on service contracts, authentication, authorization, data models, and error handling.\n\nSupport end-to-end business processes where portal functionality acts as the user-facing layer for SAP transactions or business services.\n\nArchitecture & security\nContribute to front-end and portal architecture decisions.\n\nEnsure solutions follow enterprise architecture, security, identity, accessibility, and development standards.\n\nParticipate in technical design reviews and assess the impact of changes across the portal landscape.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nEssential\nStrong professional experience with Angular and TypeScript.\n\nStrong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and modern JavaScript/ECMAScript.\n\nExperience designing and developing responsive web applications.\n\nExperience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.\n\nUnderstanding of application security, browser security, accessibility, and web performance principles.\n\nWorks effectively in multidisciplinary teams involving business analysts, UX specialists, SAP developers, integration specialists, architects, testers, and infrastructure/security teams.\n\nAble to document and explain technical solutions clearly.\n\nSAP-related\nExperience integrating web applications with SAP backend systems.\n\nUnderstanding of SAP OData services/APIs.\n\nUnderstanding of SAP authorization concepts and enterprise integration patterns.\n\nExperience working in environments containing SAP business processes and data.\n\nExperience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAble to translate business requirements into practical technical designs.\n\nOptional\nExperience with SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 and an understanding of how these differ from custom Angular applications.\n\nExperience with SAP API/integration technologies.\n\nExperience with enterprise identity providers and Single Sign-On.\n\nExperience with Azure DevOps or comparable CI/CD tooling.\n\nExperience modernizing or replacing legacy enterprise portals.\n\nResponsive design\n\nComponent-based design systems\n\nAble to challenge requirements constructively when they create usability, security, or maintainability problems.\n\nTakes ownership from initial design through implementation and production support.\n\nInterested?
