If you want to be part of a winning team and make a real difference, read on.\nThis role is in-office 5 days a week in San Francisco.\nYour Day-to-Day\nBuild and maintain high-performance, responsive web applications using React and Next.js\n\nDesign and implement end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems\n\nWork closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs, real-time systems, and voice AI workflows\n\nOwn UI/UX quality-craft fast, intuitive, and reliable user experiences\n\nManage state effectively across complex applications (server + client state)\n\nOptimize frontend performance (latency, rendering, caching, edge delivery)\n\nBuild internal tools and dashboards for monitoring, debugging, and controlling AI agents\n\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack\n\nDebug production issues and continuously improve reliability and usability\n\nContribute to system design, architecture decisions, and product direction\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience building production applications\n\nStrong experience with React and Next.js\n\nExperience building full-stack applications (API design, backend integration)\n\nSolid understanding of TypeScript, modern frontend tooling, and state management\n\nExperience working with APIs, real-time systems, and async data flows\n\nUnderstanding of performance optimization and scalable frontend architecture\n\nFamiliarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, and modern deployment workflows\n\nStrong product sense and attention to detail\n\nClear communicator who can work across teams\n\nOur Software Stack\nFrontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript\n\nBackend: Python, microservices, async systems\n\nCloud & Infra: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Redis\n\nDatabases: Firebase, Supabase\n\nObservability: Datadog, logging, metrics, tracing\n\nVoice AI: SIP, real-time call handling, LLM orchestration\n\nOther: CI/CD, testing, resilient architecture\n\nWhy Join Phonely?\nWe’re a team of ex-athletes, founders, and builders.
