When the company grows, everyone has a stake in that.\nThe Opportunity\nWe're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Engineering team at Phorest.\nYou'll work alongside talented engineers, product managers and designers to build and improve the technology that powers thousands of salons, spas and MedSpas around the world.\nThis is an opportunity to work on a large-scale SaaS platform, building intuitive, high-quality user experiences that make a real difference to the businesses that use Phorest every day.\nOur frontend technology stack includes Ember.js, JavaScript and Tailwind, alongside technologies such as GraphQL, Apollo and Node.js. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, cares about the details and wants to continue developing their skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.\nYou'll be part of a team that values clean code, practical solutions and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to contribute your ideas and help shape how we build our products.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications that deliver a great user experience.\n\nWork closely with engineers, product managers and designers to turn requirements into well-designed, shippable features.\n\nBuild reusable, maintainable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks and our design system.\n\nContribute to technical discussions and help make informed decisions about frontend architecture and implementation.\n\nWrite clean, well-tested code, following engineering best practices.\n\nDevelop automated unit and acceptance tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve application performance, accessibility and the overall user experience.\n\nTake ownership of your work from development through to deployment and ongoing improvement.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, share knowledge and learn from other engineers.\n\nStay curious about emerging frontend technologies and contribute ideas to improve how we work.\n\nWho You Are\nYou have 5+ years of professional frontend development experience, working with Ember.js or another modern JavaScript framework such as React, Angular or Vue.\n\nYou have a strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and experience building modern web applications.\n\nYou're comfortable working with RESTful APIs, with GraphQL experience being a bonus.\n\nYou have experience building responsive, reusable UI components and working with design systems.\n\nYou understand the importance of code quality, testing, maintainability and performance.\n\nYou can reason about technical trade-offs and contribute to discussions about frontend solutions.\n\nYou enjoy collaborating with designers, product managers and other engineers to solve problems.\n\nYou're proactive, take ownership of your work and aren't afraid to ask questions or share your ideas.\n\nYou have a growth mindset, enjoy learning and are keen to continue developing your technical skills.\n\nYou're a collaborative team player who values feedback, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.\n\nBenefits\nYour wellbeing is important to us - we provide private healthcare, 2 Wellness Days, an employee assistance program and a free online GP service.\nAs part of our Financial Wellbeing, we provide competitive Compensation, an Employee Share Purchase Scheme, Pension, Life Assurance, and Income Protection.\nWe help you travel by providing a bike to work scheme as well as tax saver transport tickets.\nWe support the women who work in Phorest by offering 2 weeks leave for Fertility Treatment, Pregnancy Loss and Menopause.\nWe care for your family and provide Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Benefits.\nWe grow our own timber!
