lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and drive API Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and End-to-End (E2E) validation across multiple applications and platforms.\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable API automation frameworks using Java, Rest Assured, Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit, or equivalent frameworks.\nCreate and execute automated API test suites covering functional, integration, regression, and negative test scenarios.\nValidate RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services including request/response verification, schema validation, authentication, authorization, and error handling.\nPerform service-level testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger/OpenAPI, Newman, or similar open-source frameworks.\nCollaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and third-party vendors to ensure comprehensive API test coverage and successful delivery.\nPerform test planning, estimation, scheduling, and execution for large and complex initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing practices.\nConduct backend and database validations using SQL and MongoDB Compass.\nAnalyze application logs and troubleshoot integration issues across distributed systems and microservices.\nSupport SIT, UAT, production deployments, and release validation activities.\nManage defects, perform root cause analysis, and track issues using JIRA or Azure DevOps (ADO).\nParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.\nCoordinate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.\nProvide regular status updates and communicate testing progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.\nCoordinate effectively across onshore and offshore teams.\nMaintain flexibility to overlap with onsite working hours (until noon, as needed).\nRequired Skills & Experience\n5+ years of experience in API Testing and API Automation is a must.\nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman, Newman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent frameworks.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, OAuth, JWT, and API security concepts.\nExperience testing microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with database validation and data integrity testing.\nExperience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.\nStrong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including network and service-level analysis.\nExperience using monitoring and observability tools such as Kubernetes (K8s), Kibana, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar platforms.\nStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Playwright or Selenium for UI automation testing.\nKnowledge of Node.js and JavaScript-based testing frameworks.\nExperience with API performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6.\nExperience testing event-driven systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka.\nMobile application testing experience.\nExperience with responsive web and cross-browser validation.\nFamiliarity with Retail domain applications and business processes.\nPrimary Focus: 60% API Automation & Backend Validation, 40% UI/E2E Testing (Automation &
