The role requires strong hands-on database expertise, with a focus on reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and production support.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and support MySQL database environments supporting large-scale, multi-tenant applications. \nSupport database modernization initiatives, including improvements to database architecture, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency. \nMonitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance across production environments. \nIdentify and troubleshoot database performance issues, production incidents, and application/database integration issues. \nPerform SQL performance analysis and optimization for high-volume workloads. \nSupport database scalability requirements as transaction volumes and workloads grow. \nWork with engineering and platform teams to improve database reliability and operational processes. \nSupport MongoDB environments and database operations where required. \nEstablish and maintain appropriate database monitoring and alerting using Datadog and Grafana. \nParticipate in incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of database-related production issues. \nWork closely with application, engineering, and platform teams to ensure database changes are implemented safely and efficiently. \nFollow secure development and database management practices. \nUse Jira and GitHub as part of the engineering and delivery lifecycle. \nRequired Experience & Skills\n8+ years of relevant experience in database administration, engineering, or database operations. \nStrong hands-on experience with MySQL. \nStrong knowledge of SQL, including query analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. \nExperience supporting databases for large-scale and multi-tenant applications. \nExperience with database modernization and operations at scale. \nWorking knowledge of MongoDB. \nExperience with production monitoring and troubleshooting using Datadog and Grafana. \nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills. \nFamiliarity with Jira and GitHub. \nFamiliarity with unit testing and API testing in an engineering environment. \nUnderstanding of secure coding and database security practices. \nAbility to work effectively with application development, platform, and engineering teams. \nCompensation, Benefits and Duration\nMinimum Compensation: USD 56,000\nMaximum Compensation: USD 197,000\nCompensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate.
