The Manufacturing Engineer will be based in our Shrewsbury, MA location, supporting manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. This position will be responsible for efficient and repeatable manufacturing of high-precision motion systems by developing, optimizing and supporting production processes that meet quality and performance standards.\nWe manufacture a broad range of products with a mix of high-volume serial production and low-volume, complex machines. We are pioneers by nature; quite frequently, we are creating or building a device that will be applied for the first time, for a process that will be leveraged for an entire marketplace.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop and optimize manufacturing processes to produce motion devices and systems.\nCollaborate closely with the assembly teams to ensure products are built correctly and on schedule, providing technical guidance and resolving production issues in real time.\nAssist with diagnosing and repairing customer returned products.\nDevelop, document and implement production procedures and tooling to support the transition of products into series production.\nUtilize 3D Modeling software and the company's PLM system for the design, documentation, and revision control of fixturing.\nMaintain production records demonstrating traceability to requirements.\nAssist the warehouse and planning groups with maintaining and optimizing the company's inventory.\nEnsure the production areas are organized by applying 5S and Lean Management principles.\nSkills and Requirements:\nB.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.\n2+ years of relative experience.\nProficiency in technical writing.\nA love of building mechanical and electrical devices.\nDemonstrated CAD/3D modeling experience (SolidWorks preferred).\nExperience with basic metrology tools such as calipers, test indicators, and micrometers is preferred.\nMachining or metal fabricating experience will strengthen your candidacy.\nMust be able to regularly lift 10-30 pounds and occasionally lift 30-60 pounds.\nMust be able to maintain prolonged periods of sitting and standing.\nIn addition to technical knowledge, this position requires strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, a team-player mentality and attention to detail.\nThe pay range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
