This position is responsible for assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical products using engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and standard assembly techniques. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and specifications. \nInstall hardware including screws, standoffs, rivets, inserts, brackets, cable clamps, and other mechanical components. \nPerform box-build assemblies, chassis assemblies, and final product integration. \nRoute and secure wire harnesses and cables to meet workmanship standards. \nUse hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively. \nVerify materials and components against Bills of Materials (BOMs) prior to assembly. \nPerform visual inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure workmanship meets company and IPC quality standards. \nIdentify and report material shortages, drawing discrepancies, and quality concerns. \nComplete required production documentation accurately and in a timely manner. \nMaintain organized workstations while following 5S and ESD requirements. \nAssist with product rework, repairs, and engineering prototype builds as needed. \nCross-train in other manufacturing operations to support production demands. \nFollow all company safety policies and procedures. \nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nPrevious mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred. \nAbility to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions. \nComfortable using common hand and power tools. \nStrong manual dexterity and attention to detail. \nAbility to lift up to 35 pounds. \nAbility to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday. \nStrong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. \nBasic computer skills for production documentation.\nWhy PICA?\nAt PICA Product Development, we build products that matter.
