The position will report to the General Counsel and have career growth potential. The position will be responsible for drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. The successful candidate will also have a broad business law background and be capable of counseling clients on business planning and compliance questions in diverse technology and legal subject matter areas. \nAbout Picarro:\nResponsibilities:\nDraft and negotiate diverse commercial contracts with sophisticated customers and business partners.\nProvide strategic legal advice for business development initiatives and new business opportunities.\nContribute practical advice and leadership in support of contract review processes, workflow management, and continuous improvement of contract administration.\nActively support the Company’s business presence worldwide, including the establishment, governance, and support of global subsidiary companies.\nAdvise the Company in diverse compliance areas, including employment law, trade compliance, and privacy.\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nJ.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and current bar membership in California is required.\nAt least 6 years of relevant legal practice experience.\nProven, hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts.\nStrong practical knowledge of business law applicable to technology companies (e.g., data privacy, employment, intellectual property, etc.).\nStrong moral compass and understanding of business and professional ethics.\nExcellent judgement and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and balance business needs with legal risks.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate legal requirements to non-legal audiences.\nExcellent organizational, planning, and management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.\nAbility to work under time pressure while maintaining a good sense of humor.\nAbility to work onsite at our Santa Clara location.\nSalary & Benefits:\nThe base salary range for this full-time position is $200K to $235K. Our total compensation package includes base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity.
