Sales & Profitability\nAchieve departmental sales, GP, and margin targets\n\nMonitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions\n\nControl shrinkage, waste, and markdowns\n\nAnalyse sales trends and identify growth opportunities\n\nExecute promotions and seasonal plans effectively\n\n3. Operational Excellence\nEnsure compliance with Pick n Pay SOPs and food safety standards\n\nMaintain product quality, freshness, and correct rotation (FIFO)\n\nManage stock ordering, receiving, and inventory levels\n\nEnsure correct pricing, labelling, and legal compliance\n\nMaintain equipment, displays, and back-up area standards\n\n4. Food Safety & Hygiene\nEnforce hygiene and sanitation standards\n\nEnsure compliance with HACCP and Health & Safety regulations\n\nMonitor temperature controls and storage practices\n\nConduct regular quality checks\n\n5. Stock & Waste Management\nManage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts\n\nMinimise waste through effective planning and controls\n\nConduct stock takes and investigate variances\n\nImplement waste reduction initiatives\n\n6. People Management & Development\nLead, coach, and develop Deli staff\n\nManage performance through regular feedback\n\nIdentify training and development needs\n\nEnsure staffing aligns with trading patterns\n\nFoster a positive and high-performance team culture\n\n7.
