This position prepares guidance for site layout, grading design, retaining wall design, stormwater analysis, permitting, containment structure design, survey coordination, and civil construction support.\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\nBuild design models using the Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and stormwater analysis programs\nConduct transmission right-of-way access improvement design including culvert sizing, stormwater drainage analysis, stabilization specification, construction support, and inspection\nDevelop civil construction specifications\nConduct engineering related studies\nLearn and understand design criteria\nEvaluate and provide commentary on design alternatives\nCompose work packages and release letters\nEffectively manage multiple tasks for multiple projects\nWhat You Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)\nEI/EIT certification (preferred)\n1+ years of related civil engineering experience in the electric utility industry (preferred)\nExperience using Civil 3D and other related software (preferred)\nExperience with design codes and standards\nUnderstanding of basic practices for researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations\nAbility to prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches\nAbility to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations\nAbility to be a self-starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied, and deadline-driven work environment\nEffective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills)\nDemonstrated verbal and technical writing skills\nAbility to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy\nSo...Why Join Us?\nYou will have the opportunity to learn, grow and directly contribute to our business.
