This is an opportunity for an experienced survey leader to further their career within a dynamic and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm.\nResponsibilities:\nTake responsible charge of all aspects of a surveying and geomatics group (field and office), including field crews and supporting technical staff, on public and private sector land improvement projects.\nInitiate and maintain relationships with key personnel and officials of client organizations and companies.\nPlan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and other staff members.\nAdminister contracts and manage projects; interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.\nSchedule and assign work to meet project deadlines.\nPlan and develop surveying projects with unique or complex challenges, developing new concepts and approaches as needed.\nQualifications:\nLicensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in NC or SC preferred.\n5+ years of progressive surveying management experience in residential/commercial development preferred.\nThorough working knowledge of GPS required.\nExperience with survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.\nField experience with Trimble survey equipment.\nExperience with survey data management using Trimble or Android devices.\nStrong self-motivation and organizational skills.\nExperience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Earth, and general IT a plus.\nCandidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.\nCorporate Information:\nESP is a multi-discipline engineering design and consulting firm providing our clients with civil engineering, surveying, planning/landscape architecture, geosciences, environmental, subsurface utility engineering, and construction engineering inspection.\nThrough years of dedicated service to our clients, ESP has received a designation of 186 on the 2026 ENR Top 500 Design Firm rankings.
