Our mission is to deliver an operational advantage to secure the United States and its allies.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Senior Inventory Control Specialist at Picogrid, you will play a key role in scaling and optimizing the materials flow and inventory control systems powering our hardware development and manufacturing operations.\nWe are looking for an experienced, proactive inventory professional capable of managing complex stockroom operations, maintaining high inventory accuracy, and implementing robust control processes. In this role, you will oversee material receiving, optimize inventory workflows, and ensure manufacturing maintains a continuous, efficient supply of resources. You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing to refine scale-ready ERP workflows, enforce rigorous inventory traceability, and drive operational excellence across our material pipeline.\nFor a skilled inventory lead, this role offers significant impact and leadership opportunities within a fast-scaling defense technology company.\nResponsibilities\nOversee receiving, inspection, documentation, labeling, and strategic material placement across stockroom and warehouse locations.\n\nMaintain high transactional integrity within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain efficient stockroom layouts and materials flow procedures to maximize space utilization and picking throughput.\n\nLead robust cycle count programs, root-cause variance analyses, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.\n\nEstablish streamlined kitting, staging, and material replenishment protocols to ensure smooth handoffs to production lines.\n\nEnforce material traceability and serialization standards across receiving, storage, and assembly phases.\n\nPartner with Quality Assurance to manage Non-Conforming Material and NCR processes, vendor returns, and incoming quality holds.\n\nSupport shipping, receiving, and other material handling activities as needed.\n\nFollow established receiving and inventory procedures while providing feedback on opportunities to make them better.\n\nWork closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to keep materials moving and support changing production priorities.\n\nAuthor, refine, and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory control, materials receiving, and warehouse operations.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or material flow operations within a technical or manufacturing setting.\n\nExperience receiving, storing, picking, counting, and moving physical inventory.\n\nDemonstrated proficiency with enterprise ERP/MRP platforms (e.g. Acumatica, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) for inventory tracking and transaction management.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.\n\nAbility to stay organized while balancing multiple priorities.\n\nWillingness to perform hands-on warehouse, receiving, and material handling work every day.\n\nAbility to recognize problems, communicate them clearly, and help drive them toward resolution.\n\nProven track record of managing cycle counts, auditing inventory accuracy, and performing root-cause analysis on material discrepancies.\n\nStrong understanding of material traceability, serialization, and lot control principles.\n\nAbility to lift and move materials consistent with warehouse and receiving responsibilities.\n\nAbility to meet the export control requirements outlined below\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in aerospace, defense, electronics, robotics, automotive, or another hardware manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.\n\nExperience working at a startup or growing hardware company.\n\nFamiliarity with production material control, kitting, work orders, or manufacturing support.\n\nExperience working with serialized, lot-controlled, or otherwise traceable inventory.\n\nExperience performing cycle counts and resolving inventory discrepancies.\n\nExperience helping improve warehouse layouts, inventory organization, receiving processes, or SOPs.\n\nExperience participating in ERP/MRP system integrations, migrations, or major workflow enhancements.\n\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing methodologies, 5S practices, or continuous improvement frameworks.\n\nCompensation\nStarting pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour.\n\nSignificant stock options with high potential upside as an early-stage company.\n\n401(k) with employer matching.\n\nMedical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family\n\nRelocation assistance provided (if applicable).\n\nAccrued PTO at 4.615 hours for every 40 hours worked + 40 hours sick time per year for hourly employees\n\nPaid parental leave for both parents.\n\nLunch provided when working in-office and a fully stocked kitchenette.\n\nFree EV charging at HQ\n\nExport Control Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.\n1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.\n\n1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\n\n#LI-DNP\nEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy\nPicogrid is committed to providing a professional work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
