Our mission is to deliver an operational advantage to secure the United States and its allies.\nContract duration: 6 months, $25-32/hr\nStart date: November 20, 2026\nAbout the Role\nPicogrid is seeking a detail-oriented Site Operations Associate to support security operations for a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) project. The Site Operations Associate serves as the first line of access control at the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel enter and exit and that all movement is accurately tracked and reported. This role requires strong judgment, clear communication, and consistent adherence to security protocols.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as the entry point control POC, controlling and monitoring all ingress and egress at the facility entrance.\n\nMaintain continuous communication with the SCIF project point of contact and headquarters throughout each shift.\n\nMaintain and update the list of authorized visitors and personnel, verifying access eligibility before entry is granted.\n\nPositively identify all personnel entering and exiting the facility, and record entry and exit times in the access log.\n\nConduct identification checks and recognize violations of security protocol, documenting and reporting them according to established procedures.\n\nCommunicate professionally and effectively with personnel requesting access, including explaining access requirements and escorting procedures.\n\nNotify supervision immediately of any breach, attempted breach, or suspicious activity at the entry point.\n\nSupport shift turnover by briefing incoming personnel on access activity, open issues, and any incidents.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n No prior security experience is required. We're looking for someone who is:\nHighly responsible. You show up on time, take ownership of your post, and follow through on every task, even the routine ones.\n\nTrustworthy. You handle sensitive information with discretion and can be relied on to do the right thing when no one is watching.\n\nDiligent and detail-oriented. You check every ID carefully, keep accurate logs, and don't cut corners.\n\nCalm and clear in communication. You can be polite but firm with visitors and speak up right away when something seems off.\n\nAble to stay alert. You can remain focused and attentive through long or quiet shifts.\n\nRequirements\nU.S. Persons required\n\nAbility to pass a background check\n\nAvailability to work, with potential overtime pay\n\nTraining on access control procedures and site security protocols will be provided.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.\nCompensation & Benefits\nEmployment type: Temporary, W-2, non-exempt\nRate: $25-32 per hour.
