In this role, you will design, deploy, and troubleshoot large-scale service provider network infrastructure, including escalated issues. You will work closely with internal and external clients, operations and systems teams, financial exchanges, and fellow Network Engineers to design and automate solutions, research and develop improvements, resolve system issues, and support business analysis. \nResponsibilities and duties (includes but not limited to): \nTranslate business requirements into architecture \nConvert availability, performance, and regulatory needs into technical designs \nCreate HLDs depicting Logical Architecture and Traffic flow \nDefine design principles with focus on scalability, resilience, simplicity and standardization \nStrategize on methods to improve overall network infrastructure with a low-latency profile \nDesign and deploy customer networks with automation, security, and operability as focus \nEvaluate vendors, platforms, and protocols for long-term fit \nSupport internal and external customer facing issues as a point of escalation \nGenerate, Follow Up, and Complete tickets for internal projects and customers \nConstruct valid configurations for implementation based upon design and/or technical concepts \nImplement critical configuration changes as required through established change control processes and systems with little to no guidance \nParticipate in daily meetings to review changes and underlying impacts \nEducation, Skills and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements) \n10-14 years of experience working on network equipment in an ISP style environment or a large NOC \n7-10 years of experience with Fortinet, Arista, and/or Cisco hardware and software \nCCIE or JNCIE certified or equivalent level of knowledge \nExpert understanding and deployment experience in the following technologies: \nIP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP) \nFirewalls (VPNs, Policies) \nRouting Protocols (BGP, OSPF) \nMulticast Routing (IGMP, PIM) \nNAT (Static, Dynamic) \nNetwork Sniffers (TCP/IP Analysis) \nNTP, PTP and Network Timing \nAbility to analyse and diagnose problems and lead system recovery effectively \nClear verbal and written communicator \nCapable of prioritizing and managing own workload \nSelf-motivated \nCapable of working with little supervision \nCreative thinker with out of the box ideas \nKeen to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and help others develop \nInterested in cutting edge technology \nDriven to develop own skills and knowledge \nScripting in Bash or Python \nFamiliarity with Linux \nUnderstanding of JIRA as a ticketing system \nWorking Arrangements \nThis is a Hybrid position with weekly time in the office with the flexibility of working from home. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent.
