Our teams ensure all activities follow regulations and manage risks.\nThe Tax Expert - Operations for Investment Funds will act as the key coordinator and subject matter expert for all tax-related operational activities within the organization. This role involves ensuring that any tax changes (FATCA, CRS, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) are identified, communicated, and implemented effectively in collaboration with the operational teams responsible for tax deliverables. The Tax Expert will work closely with the Tax Group team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to allocate changes with clear implementation targets and timelines.\nYour role\nTax Change Coordination and Implementation\nAct as the primary point of contact for operational teams regarding tax changes (FATCA, CRS, VAT, withholding tax, etc.).\nReview and analyze tax-related updates and regulatory changes received from the Tax Group team.\nEnsure all tax changes are identified, documented, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.\nAllocate changes to the appropriate operational teams with clear implementation targets and deadlines.\nMonitor the implementation of tax changes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.\nOperational Oversight and Support\nCollaborate with operational teams to ensure tax deliverables are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable regulations.\nProvide guidance and support to operational teams on tax-related matters, including process improvements and issue resolution.\nDevelop and maintain a framework for tracking and reporting the status of tax-related changes and deliverables.\nEnsure that all tax-related processes are documented and updated to reflect regulatory changes.\nRisk Management and Compliance\nIdentify potential risks related to tax compliance and propose mitigation strategies.\nEnsure that all tax processes comply with local and international regulations, including FATCA, CRS, VAT, and withholding tax requirements.\nSupport internal and external audits related to tax compliance and operational processes.\nStakeholder Communication and Training\nAct as a liaison between the Tax Group team and operational teams to ensure alignment on tax-related matters.\nProvide training and updates to operational teams on new tax regulations and their impact on processes.\nPrepare and present regular reports to management on the status of tax compliance and implementation of changes.\nYour profile\nEducational Background:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field.\nProfessional certifications such as CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are a strong advantage.\nProfessional Experience:\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in tax operations, preferably within the investment funds or financial services industry.\nStrong knowledge of FATCA, CRS, VAT, and withholding tax regulations.\nExperience in coordinating tax-related projects and working with cross-functional teams.\nSpecific Knowledge and Skills:\nIn-depth understanding of tax regulations applicable to investment funds and financial services.\nFamiliarity with operational processes related to tax reporting and compliance.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and translate them into operational requirements.\nProficiency in tax reporting tools and systems, as well as advanced knowledge of Excel.\nLanguage Skills:\nFluency in English and French is mandatory (both written and spoken).\nPersonal Qualities:\nStrong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.\nDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.\nProactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues.\nStrong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring compliance with tax regulations.\nNote\nWe will not accept any CVs via agencies\nDiversity & Inclusion\nPictet is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
