Tasks
The Mission
As an Electronics Development Engineer, you develop electronic assemblies from schematic design and component selection through PCB layout to prototype bring-up and verification.
Projects range from compact integration boards to complex FPGA/SoC-based mainboards for Radar and SATCOM systems. You will work closely with RF engineers, embedded software developers and mechanical designers to create robust, manufacturable hardware.
We are open to different levels of experience: experienced engineers can take end-to-end ownership, while motivated engineers earlier in their career will grow into that responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Circuit & PCB Design: Select components, create schematics, maintain component and footprint libraries, and design PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
- High-Speed, Power & EMC: Develop robust hardware with signal integrity, suitable power supply topologies and sequencing, thermal design and EMC in mind.
- Prototyping & Verification: Bring up and debug new hardware, perform measurements and modify prototypes using soldering iron, hot air and rework equipment.
- Manufacturing & Integration: Work with PCB manufacturers, assembly partners, RF engineers, embedded software developers and mechanical designers throughout development and production.
- Requirements & Quality: Work against environmental and system requirements, identify missing or conflicting constraints, document design decisions and verify the implemented hardware in an EN9100-oriented development environment.
Requirements
Your Profile
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a comparable field.
- Solid foundation in electronic circuit design and practical hardware development.
- Ability to understand interactions between electrical, thermal and mechanical design constraints.
- Hands-on engineering mindset and willingness to investigate problems directly on the hardware.
- Structured, curious and pragmatic approach to engineering, with the ability to question unclear requirements and take ownership of technical decisions.
Strong Plus
Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- RF / microwave electronics
- FPGA / SoC-based hardware
- High-speed digital design and signal integrity
- Spectrum analyzers, VNAs or advanced laboratory measurement equipment
- Aerospace, defence or another reliability-focused development environment

Salary
For this position, the minimum salary according to the Kollektivvertrag Metallgewerbe (Verwendungsgruppe III, after 4 years) is € 3.109,21 gross per month, with a clear willingness to overpay based on your existing projects and technical skills.
