The primary responsibility of the position is to manage the operational activities of the station in accordance with established policies and procedures. The General Manager manages a staff with varied duties to include Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Agents. The successful candidate will have proven success as a team leader with the ability to preplan manpower and equipment. This position will report to the Regional Manager, Ground Handling.\nEssential Duties:\nOversee station labor relations, operations efficiencies, maintenance, facilities, and safety and security\nKeep company goals and customer expectations in mind when overseeing daily operations\nCoach and provide career development to the staff\nCorrect non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required\nUnderstand the corporate culture, policies, and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines\nManage a staff with varied duties to include Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Agents\nAdministrative duties include daily/weekly/monthly reports\nResponsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, and back up for absent employees\nConduct employee performance reviews\nJob Qualifications and Competencies:\nProven success as a Team Leader with ability to preplan manpower and equipment\nAbility to work independently, set and meet own deadlines\nAbility to work well with all levels of management and support staff\nAble to defuse conflicts among team members\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite\nPrior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTwo (2) years supervisory experience, in both Operations and Customer Care\nWorking knowledge of Airport Operations Area environment\nExtensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre & Internal Controls Manual (ICM)\nBachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Business, or related field\nWork Environment:\nStandard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment\nAirport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels\nAll shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts\nSome travel may be required\nPhysical Requirements:\nOccasional lifting up to 25 pounds\nThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and are not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required for this position.
