As a Carpentry Skilled Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in renovating and maintaining our residential communities, tackling a variety of projects that make direct impacts on residents' homes and experiences. If you're a self-starter who takes pride in your work, enjoys problem solving, and thrives in a hands-on environment, this is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with a growing organization.\nKey Responsibilities\nMust own and maintain a reliable vehicle.\nMust own personal hand and power tools. \nComplete residential unit turns, renovations, and repairs in vacant and occupied suites, ensuring units are move-in ready and maintained to company standards. \nRead and interpret drawings, scopes of work, and project specifications to accurately execute carpentry and maintenance projects. \nConstruct, repair, and install walls, flooring, doorframes, windows, door, cabinetry, drywall, trim, and other structural and finish components. \nInstall subflooring, vinyl flooring, and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) while ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. \nInspect, troubleshoot, and replace damaged frameworks, fixtures, and building components as required. \nPerformed scheduled and emergency maintenance work orders, including minor electrical and plumbing repairs such as lighting, fixture, and toilet replacement. \nCollaborate effectively with maintenance team members, contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently. \nMaintain clean, organized, and safe work environments while adhering to company safety standards and operational procedures. \nParticipate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies involving building systems and resident needs. \nCrucial Knowledge & Skills\nStrong carpentry, renovation, and residential maintenance skills. \nProficient in the safe use of hand and power tools. \nAbility to read and interpret drawings, plans, and scopes of work. \nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention to detail. \nExcellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills. \nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities. \nKnowledge of residential building systems, maintenance practices, and safety procedures. \nPhysical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform demanding manual work. \nEducation & Experience Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent. \nMinimum 5 years of carpentry, construction, renovation, or residential maintenance experience. \nProven experience completing residential repairs, renovations, and unit turnovers. \nPrevious experience in residential property management, maintenance, or multi-residential environments is considered an asset. \nValid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle. \nEligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check. \nDemonstrated alignment with Pier 4's core values: Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect. \nAdditional Details:\nCompetitive Salary Range: $55,000-75,000.\nWork Arrangement: Fully on-site, at our Moncton properties. \nComprehensive Total Rewards Package: Competitive compensation and benefits program. \nExtended Long Weekends: Enjoy regular 4-day long weekends throughout the year on every statutory holiday. \nCompany Culture: Frequent social event , and employee celebrations. \nDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion\nAt Pier 4, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds strengthen our team and drive better outcomes.
