Join a growing organization that offers stability, career advancement, and a team culture build on Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform tile installation, replacement, repair, and grout work in residential suites, common areas, and amenity spaces. \nComplete maintenance, renovation, and turnover projects to ensure suites are ready for new resident occupancy. \nAssess and troubleshoot flooring, wall tile, and related surface issues to determine appropriate repair solutions. \nRemove damaged tiles and prepare surfaces for installation while ensuring a professional finish. \nConduct preventative maintenance inspections and identify opportunities to improve suite and building conditions.\nAssist with general maintenance tasks, including minor carpentry, drywall repair, painting, caulking, and finishing work as required. \nEnsure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and applicable building codes. \nMaintain accurate records of completed work, material requirements, and maintenance requests. \nCollaborate with Property Management and Maintenance teams to support resident satisfaction and portfolio performance. \nCrucial Knowledge & Skills\nAdvanced knowledge of tile installation, repair, grouting, finishing, and surface preparation techniques. \nAbility to interpret work orders, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.\nExcellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. \nStrong communication and resident-focused approach.\nEducation & Experience Required\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in tile installation, tile repair, residential maintenance, construction, or related skilled trade. \nDemonstrated experience completing residential renovation, suite turnover, or maintenance projects. \nValid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.\nEligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check.\nExperience working in residential rental, condominium, hospitality, or property management environments is preferred. \nAbility to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment required to perform the duties of the role. \nAbility to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and emergency response when required.\nAdditional Details\nHourly Range:$21-26/hour\nWork Arrangement: Fully on-site, 3 days a week at our Nova Scotia location - 800 Windmill Road.\nComprehensive Total Rewards Package: Competitive compensation and benefits program. \nExtended Long Weekends: Enjoy regular 4-day long weekends throughout the year on every statutory holiday. \nCompany Culture: Frequent social events, and employee celebrations.\nDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion\nAt Pier 4, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds strengthen our team and drive better outcomes.
