Pigment is seeking an experienced AI Scientist with a strong CS background and experience with GenAI and Agentic Architectures to join our innovative and fast-paced team. In this role, you will work on AI projects and play a crucial part in developing and refining our product. What you will do :
- Work on AI features built on top of the Pigment computation engine that provides determinism, auditability and data visualizations
- Work on AI features with an ambitious product vision, that are actively used, have a real world impact and are built to last
- Programming on a production python codebase. Our Scientists are encouraged to contribute to production features to ensure they can follow their experiments from ideation to production
- Conduct experiments and benchmarking to assess the performance of various models and architectures
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date with recent advancements in agentic architecture, NLP and large language models, applying novel techniques and methodologies to improve our features.

Requirements
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong programming skills in Python, and relevant ML and GenAI libraries (e.g., langchain, langgraph, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Hands-on experience evaluating pre-trained models, and fine tuning or training models
- Experience in the recent developments of Agentic Architecture
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate complex mathematical and AI concepts clearly and effectively across research, engineering, and product audiences

- Experience building and shipping complex products on top of LLMs
- Experience with LLM or deep-learning-based tabular data understanding, including methods for interpreting complex spreadsheets, schema inference or table representation learning (e.g., TAPAS, TaBERT, TURL, and more generally Omniparser-like approaches)
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art deep learning forecasting models (e.g., TimesFM, Chronos, TOTO, or any other recent foundation models for time series prediction)
