You should be comfortable handling complex technical challenges and working across teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.\nPreferred Requirements:\n- Proven Experience: Solid background in backend software engineering and delivering production-ready systems.\n- Proven experience designing object oriented software with languages such as C#, Java, C++, Golang, Rust, Python or Ruby (this list is not exhaustive).\n- Great team spirit with a problem-solving attitude.\n- A good dose of humility and the willingness to grow (no matter your seniority!).\n- A fluent level in English (French is not a must).\nYour Responsibilities:\nCore Feature Development:\n- Design, develop, and maintain critical backend components within the Blocks scope.\n- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and reusable to support diverse use cases.\nOptimize Performance & Scalability:\n- Design systems that prioritize performance, reliability, and low maintenance overhead.\n- Ensure reusability across the platform to serve both internal and external stakeholders.\nAbout the Team:\nMission: Deliver and maintain the core building blocks that power Pigment's modeling capabilities while providing technical expertise across the organization.\nStructure: You’ll join a 5-person Blocks team consisting of 3 backend engineers, 1 frontend engineer, and 1 backend.\nLocation: While most team members are based in Paris or remote, you will work alongside one Toronto-based teammate & 2 Technical Escalation Engineer.\nRecharge & Refresh - We believe in work-life balance!
