The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the production and maintenance process.\nAt Pilgrim’s, Safety Is ACondition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.\nWe have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed within our facility. Each day,temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are available to all team members and enhancedcleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned as production demands may require.\nAs the lead you are expected to be aware of all issues involving your side of the plant. And document and report any and all downtime events to your supervisor\nAs a lead you are expected to have an estimated time for each issue to be resolved.\nAs lead you are expected to properly communicate all information to any member of management as it is requested in a professional manner.\nAs lead you are expected to ensure that all maintenance employees are properly utilizing their time. This includes the time spent on breaks and lunches.\nAs lead you are responsible for pm audits and ensuring all pm’sarecompletedfor your shift.\nAs lead you are responsible for ensuring we maintain a TEAM WORKmentality between both shifts and other departments.\nAs lead you are responsible for ensuring we properly communicate to the incoming shift any outstanding issues and all resolved issues that impacted your side of the plant during your shift.\nAs lead you are responsible for ensuring a recap is sent out everyday properly documenting the occurrences for the day.\nAs lead you are responsible to direct our employees to ensure all issues are being addressed.\nAs lead you are responsible to assist on all issues as necessary.\nAs lead you are responsible to notify your supervisor of any issues involving your crew that need to be addressed in regards to company policies and expectations so they can be addressed.\nAs lead you are expected to follow through with all directives given to you by your Supervisor or any other member of maintenance management.\nNON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS\nTo assist maintenance supervisors and management with anything that they needhelp with\nTo assist production with any issues they may need help with\nHousekeeping and 5-s of all areas of the production floor and shop,including outside areas around all sidesof the plant\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to physically perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic computer skills are required.\nLICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:\nForklift, pallet jack and man lift\nLock out tag out\nSap training\nPeople first training participation\nTRAINING REQUIREMENTS/METHODS:\nAll employees are required to attend employee and safety orientation prior to performing the above duties. Once the employee completes this training theirSupervisor will further orient the employee to the workplace, introduce him/her to employees and other supervision, demonstrate work assignment and explain ingress and egress procedures to and fromwork stations.\nTRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThose responsible for training and indoctrination may include: personnel representatives, safety director, supervisors, and other lead workers.\nMETHOD OF TRACKING EMPLOYEE PROGRESS:\nThe supervisor is accountable for tracking employee progress and performance.\nEXIT TRAINING FOR MEASURING TRAINING EFFECTIVENESS:\nA specific probationary period is assigned to all employees hired to evaluate employee effectiveness and performance. At the end of this period the supervisor will evaluate the job performance of each new employee utilizing current forms and procedures in effect at that time. The employee will be rated and evaluated on essential work duties listed above as well as attendance, tardiness, interaction with co-workers and management, attitudes and work actions. Unacceptable performance of duties and disciplinary actions will be documented on corrective action reports and appropriate personnel records.
