By adhering to transportation regulations, biosecurity protocols, and company policies, the Egg Driver plays a vital role in supporting operational continuity, bird health, and the overall success of Pilgrim’s supply chain.\nResponsibilities:\nOperate commercial trucks safely and efficiently.\nConduct equipment inspections following company guidelines and report issues to the Supervisor.\nOperate trucks in a manner that maintains product quality and integrity.\nCommunicate effectively-both verbally and in writing-with associates, maintenance staff, growers, and supervisors regarding farm conditions, and other relevant information.\nMaintain equipment and keep trucks and work areas clean, neat, and orderly.\nPlace each load as directed.\nFollow the housekeeping schedule, using proper techniques and required PPE.\nFoster a positive work environment through cooperative communication and teamwork.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nCertifications & Licenses: applicants must have a valid Class A CDL with 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.\nif the driver has a positive test for drugs or alcohol in theprevious 5 years,they are not eligible.\nSkills:Ability to communicate effectively with others in a manner that maintains harmony with co-workers, ability to follow both written and verbal directions, appropriate skill to drive a truck safely, working knowledge of driving and traffic rules, good hand and eye coordination required.\nAbility to lift 50 lbs. or more\nMust have the ability to operate a manual CMV\nWhy Work for Pilgrim’s?\nSchedule: Typical schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday starting around 6am until done hauling designated loads. Typically, a 10 to 12-hour workday. Schedule may fluctuate with egg inventory.
