This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, animal welfare, and productivity if you are a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic settings and enjoys making a direct impact; this is a great opportunity to grow with a company committed to excellence.\nResponsibilities:\nAuditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations\nPerform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed\nMonitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.\nMust work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request\nAid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations\nWork closely with production associates in monitoring meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting any deficiencies and notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.\nMaintain lab equipment by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed\nPerform all other duties as assigned\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat you’ll Need:\nMust be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends\nMust be willing to learn all aspects of food safety\nMust have strong verbal and written English communication skills\nMust be willing to work in both hot and cold environments\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\nAbility to lift 50 lbs.
