Head of Sales, Pet Food - Vietnam

Build the next stage of our Pet Food business in Vietnam

Aboitiz Foods is looking for a commercially driven Head of Sales, Pet Food - Vietnam to lead the growth and transformation of our offline sales business across Vietnam.

This is a hands-on national sales leadership role with responsibility for sales strategy, volume growth, gross margin, distributor development, key-account management and sales-team capability.

The successful candidate will lead our field-sales organisation and strengthen our presence across distributors, pet shops and veterinary clinics. Working closely with the Head of Pet Food, Marketing, E-Commerce, Supply Chain and Technical teams, you will help establish a clearer commercial direction and a more professional, scalable sales organisation.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the sales strategy and annual commercial plan for the Pet Food business in Vietnam.
• Deliver volume, revenue and gross-margin targets.
• Expand market share and grow the customer base across distributors, pet shops and veterinary clinics.
• Identify, appoint and develop strong distribution partners throughout Vietnam.
• Build strategic relationships with key accounts and priority customers.
• Improve distributor contracts, pricing discipline and commercial terms.
• Lead, coach and develop the Sales Supervisors and field-sales team.
• Raise sales standards through stronger planning, reporting, forecasting and performance management.
• Monitor market developments, customer feedback, competitor pricing and distribution activities.
• Ensure effective credit management, collections and customer-account discipline.
• Work with Marketing on offline and online campaigns, product launches, promotions and industry events.
• Partner with Supply Chain to improve product availability and support demand planning.
• Work with Technical colleagues to address product enquiries, customer concerns and technical training requirements.
• Identify new commercial opportunities, products and services that can support the future growth of the business.

• Min 10 years of total sales experience, including 5 years in sales management
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Animal Science or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in sales and commercial leadership within pet food, pet care, animal health, nutrition or FMCG.
• Direct pet-food experience is highly preferred.
• Strong experience managing distributors and building route-to-market strategies.
• A proven record of delivering sales growth while protecting or improving gross margin.
• Experience developing key accounts and acquiring new customers.
• Strong commercial capability in pricing, forecasting, collections and distributor negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and raise the standards of a field-sales team.
• Strategic and analytical thinking, combined with a willingness to remain close to customers and day-to-day execution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Fluent Vietnamese and strong working English.
• Based in Ho Chi Minh City and willing to travel within Vietnam.
