The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity. \nPay Range is the entire compensation range for the position. \nThe Pima County Information Technology Department is seeking a self-motivated, thorough, disciplined, and perceptive individual for the role of Business Systems Analyst I. The ideal candidate has experience and working knowledge of analyzing business processes and functions to identify opportunities for improvement and promote greater efficiency and effectiveness. Work assignments may vary depending on the department’s need and will be communicated to the applicant or incumbent by the supervisor.\nEngages with Pima County department or elected official Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gain understanding of how the entity operates to deliver on its mission;\nResearches and documents the technical tools (hardware and software) that enable business operations for departments and/or elected officials;\nIdentifies and documents areas of operational improvement that can be gained via changes in technology;\nCommunicates proposed changes in technology to technical teams and/or third-party vendors for design, development and deployment via requirements definition documents, work items in a work management tool, visual representations, and oral presentations;\nCoordinates requirements definition and business case for change with department and/or elected official SMEs;\nProvides status updates to leadership in oral and written form;\nExecutes project management techniques (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) to ensure efficient and effective delivery of technical solutions;\nEffectively negotiates for viable solutions to technical, process and priority conflict resolution;\nServes as a team member to deliver technical solutions on larger projects and/or for multiple departments.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nHigh School diploma or equivalent AND two years of experience in either computer hardware or software support, business analysis or data analysis.\n\n(Relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.)\nQualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the \"Education\" and \"Work Experience\" sections of the application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):\nMinimum one (1) year of experience in information technology supporting and administering various business system applications. \nMinimum one (1) year of experience gathering, documenting requirements while capturing baseline measurements to support analysis and improvement. \nMinimum one (1) year of experience in analysis of current business processes, development and documentation of new business processes, gaining acceptance of the new or modified business process, and implementing revised and new business processes.\nMinimum one (1) year of experience working with multiple customers, both internal and external to the organization, who have a wide range of business requirements related to information technology. \nMinimum one (1) year of experience leading organizational change initiatives and implementing performance improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, employee adoption, and business outcomes.\nSelection Procedure: \nPima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.\nSupplemental Information:\nLicenses and Certificates: Valid driver license is required at time of application. ValidAZ driver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant’s suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment resulting from this recruitment is contingent upon Fleet Services’ review and approval of the candidate’s driving record. \nSpecial Notice Items: The County requires pre-employment background checks. Successful candidates will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include verification of work history, education, and criminal conviction history.
