You’reeligible to apply if you:

  • Are pursuing an MBA degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related, quantitative/analytical field from an accredited, leading business school or university, or other equivalent Advanced Degree as it relates to the position

  • Must be able to begin full timeemployment from a PIMCO office between January 2028- August 2028

  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)

  • Must be willing to work in London

Credit Research

Credit Research analysts evaluate various industries and companies to make investment recommendations to PIMCO’s portfolio managers group. They also provide analytical support for the firm’s portfolio managers by highlighting risks.Credit analysts at PIMCO specialize in a number ofindustries and cover all levels of the debt capital structure - investment grade bonds, high yield (“junk”) bonds, bank debtand convertibles. Summer interns will work alongside our seasoned credit analysts, supporting them in their coverageresponsibilities, while learning about the various industries and day-to-day responsibilities.

Career Development, Training and Mentoring

Every intern begins their summer with a formal week of training. The PIMCO Fundamentals training program will provide you with the skills, knowledge and relationships that will prepare you to succeed in your internship. Your informal training will continue throughout the summer at PIMCO - everyday, in a perpetual learning environment. In addition, you will be teamed with a seasoned professional who offers guidance and mentorship throughout the internship.

Desired candidates should possessthe following characteristics:

  • Skills conducting research and basic financial modeling. Demonstrates natural intuition to make good judgments

  • Strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomicsand investment finance

  • Proactive in thinking about potential investment ideas.

  • Good communicator; strong written and oral presentation abilities. Needs to be persuasive and credible

  • Ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high-energy, self-starter, accountable, humble

  • Strong academic credentials and achievement

  • Have demonstratedcuriosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes

The PIMCO Internship Experience:

  • The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program

  • During Week 1, you’llparticipatein PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success

  • Alongside your colleagues, participatein PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts

  • Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events!

  • Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leadersand team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer

  • You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future ready skills and make an impact from the start

  • You’llreceive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

  • As a PIMCO intern, you’llreceive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employeeswhich includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed componentof compensation that is determinedby core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determinedby company, business, team, and individual performance.
