You will engineer systems that acquire, normalize, and deliver real-time and recorded audio, video, and telephony metadata across provider platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet, Amazon Connect, Genesys) into Pindrop’s downstream analytics, fraud detection, and authentication engines.This is a product-engineering role focused on real-time media ingestion, low-latency streaming pipelines, provider integrations, and production reliability. It is not an ML model-development or model-scoring role.\nMore specifically, you will:\nDesign, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines optimized for low-latency processing, high availability, and fault tolerance.\nBuild and evolve integrations across communication technologies and protocols, including SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and enterprise contact center platforms.\nLead projects from architecture and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.\nDiagnose complex distributed systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests; improve service reliability, capacity, and security.\nProvide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.\nPartner closely with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and adjacent analytics teams to deliver seamless data ingestion.\nParticipate in a shared on-call rotation after completing team training and production-readiness onboarding.\nWho you are\nResilient & Adaptable: You are optimistic in the face of ambiguity and change, turning complex engineering challenges into scalable solutions.\nAccountable Owner: You take end-to-end responsibility for outcomes, under-promising and over-delivering on commitments.\nAnalytical Problem Solver: You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy driving technical design, project leadership, and mentorship.\nClear Communicator: You communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional partners and make decisions understandable across teams.\nYour skill-set\nMust Have\n5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production.\nStrong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a comparable compiled language, with strong Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals.\nHands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices (Terraform/CDK, CI/CD pipelines).\nProven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex issues in distributed systems, including participation in on-call production support.\nNice to Have\nExperience with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks (SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, GStreamer).\nExperience integrating with telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, Webex).\nExperience with event-driven messaging systems (Apache Kafka/MSK), distributed caching, or service-to-service API design (REST/gRPC).\nFamiliarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and security best practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments.\nWhat You’ll Gain\nBuild Pindrop's \"front door\"-the real-time ingestion layer for communication data from global providers like Zoom, Teams, Webex, and Verizon.
