They're looking for an Acumatica Solutions Developer Lead to own the technical solutioning conversation with clients - from requirements through delivery - while providing oversight and mentorship to a small development team.\nThis is a player-coach role: roughly 25-50% of the time is billable on client-facing solutioning and customization work, with the remainder focused on directing and reviewing the work of the development team. The right candidate comes from a development background and has grown into the functional, client-facing side of ERP consulting - technically credible, commercially sharp, and comfortable telling a client when a customization isn't the right answer.\nThis is a full-time remote role, ideally based in the Eastern or Central time zone, reporting to the EVP of Technology & Business Innovation.\nWhat You'll Do\nMeet directly with clients post-handoff to gather and clarify requirements for Acumatica customizations - pushing back with a business rationale when a request isn't the right solution.\nTranslate business requirements into clear, buildable technical designs and specifications.\nBuild customizations, extensions, and integrations yourself when that's the fastest path to a good result.\nDirect, oversee, and review the work of other developers on customization projects - mentoring them on both code quality and client communication.\nUse AI development tools, including Claude and GitHub Copilot, as part of how you write specs, generate and review code, and modernize existing customizations.\nPartner with the Solutions Architecture and Consulting teams on scoping and delivery for larger engagements.\nServe as the technical point of contact for client customization conversations, ensuring outcomes are clearly defined and expectations are set accurately.\nWhat They're Looking For\nRequired\nSeveral years of hands-on Acumatica development experience (C#, SQL Server), including APIs and third-party integrations.\nAcumatica certification, or a background in Acumatica implementation consulting with strong technical depth.\nDirect experience gathering and clarifying requirements from business stakeholders - not just working from a ticket or spec someone else wrote.\nA track record of pushing back on client requests when a simpler or better solution exists, with a specific example of when and why.\nExperience mentoring, directing, or reviewing the work of other developers.\nGenuine fluency with AI coding and productivity tools and real interest in using them to improve how customization work gets done.\nWorking understanding of core business processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and inventory management.\nComfortable operating in a client-facing capacity with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or another mid-market ERP platform.\nExposure to distribution, manufacturing, construction, or field service operations.\nFormer Acumatica end user who has transitioned into a consulting or development role -
